ABOUT

Heidi Laughton works both as a professional corporate photographer and a published photojournalist.

Photography:

Heidi Laughton shoots for editorial, corporate and advertising brands. She shoots national poster, web and print advertising campaigns. Clients include magazines, corporate brands, record companies and fashion labels. She’s also just as happy shooting for smaller, personal projects or portraits.

Heidi grew up in Oxford, England and studied Psychology at Royal Holloway University of London. She then pursued a successful 14 year career as a creative director overseeing all visual media for world renowned recording artists. This entailed overseeing music video shoots, documentaries, stills shoots and behind-the-scenes video footage, for print media, television broadcast and websites/social media. This production experience now lends itself to documentary film projects and multimedia requirements.

In 2009, Heidi produced Fresh photo Fair on behalf of the Lucie Foundation, curating a show of 25 world renowned photographers for a three day event.

Heidi is availble for all commercial assignments, no job is too big or too small. All inquiries are welcome.

Photojournalism:

Heidi researches, writes and shoots articles covering a range of issues. She has worked for NGO's, hospitals, trusts and humanitarian organizations. She is a frequent photographer for the American Red Cross in Los Angeles.

Her work has recently been exhibited at the well-received show "Wide Angle Lens" at the OCCCA, along with pulitzer prize-winning photojournalists.

Assignments have taken Heidi to China (Save the Children/Dr Jianbo, Aids awareness) and Kenya (K-MET NGO) where Heidi was commissioned to teach photography to 20 girls from Manyatta and Nylander slum areas. "Sisterhood for change" focused on the unique needs of adolescent girls to bring about awareness to the wider community.

Heidi welcomes assignments from newspapers, NGOs, health organisations, rescue or refugee committees and other non-profits.
